Harness the gentleness and the hydrating power of the Sunflower. Sunflower Oil is used in skin and hair care as a moisturizer and emollient. It’s also used as a general carrier oil for essential oils. The skin absorbs Sunflower Oil easily, and the oil doesn’t leave a residue. It’s lightweight oil, high in vitamins, rich in antioxidants, and abundant in healthy fatty acids. Using Sunflower Oil for skin is a well-known practice, going back thousands of years to the indigenus people of the American continent. These tribes grew the sunflowers for different reasons, including the oil’s hydration of the skin. This also also applies to hair. Using Sunflower Oil for hair and scalp can be highly beneficial, and it’s no wonder that many hair- and skin-care products include this oil in their formula. Our Sunflower Seed oil is made by cold-pressing the seeds to extract the precious oil, and then refining it in order to balance its consistency and lengthen its shelf-life. While the hair could definitely benefit from such a powerful carrier oil, having cold-pressed Sunflower Oil around for use with the face is another highly common thing. It’s perfectly reasonable to use Sunflower Oil for face or neck, whether as a makeup remover or even a kind of serum.

For thousands of years, humankind has been using sunflower oil for taking care of skin, hair, face, and more. The seeds are pressed, rather than being heated chemically. The process of cold-pressing yields a high-quality oil which can be used as is. The second process our oil undergoes is that of refinement, where the oil is rid of impurities and where it attains greater balance of consistency, which contributes to its preservation and longer shelf life.

  • Sunflower Oil for skin: cleanse and get the moisture you require. Fit for all skin types, it’s a lightweight oil which packs a punch. Using Sunflower seed oil for skin has been a long-standing practice, whether as a standalone oil or part of a formula.
  • Sunflower Oil for Hair: as an addition to a shampoo or conditioner, it can help provide the hair strands with much-needed hydration. Often used as an emollient for the skin, it also holds benefits for the hair because of its makeup and its high amount of Vitamin E.
  • Sunflower Oil for face: you can use the Sunflower seeds’ oil as a makeup remover, and some use it as a serum for drier skin. The nutrients which exist within that tiny seed can seriously make a difference.
  • As a carrier oil for essential oils, Sunflower seed oil blends very well with other flower-based botanical extracts. It is used extensively in aromatherapy. It’s an oil which easily blends with other base oils as well.
Apply 1 drop to wrist to test for adverse reaction - dilute before applying if necessary.  Suggested Use: Body: Massage several drops  Sunflower Seed Oil into the desired area. Face: After cleansing, massage 3-5 drops into your skin. Keep out of eyes.
Sunflower Oil.

Sunflower oil is one of the most highly-ranked oils when it comes to linoleic acid. This acid is a polyunsaturated fat of the Omega-6 variety. Sunflower Seed Oil is said to contain over 65% polyunsaturated acids, with linoleic acid making up the bulk.

Following the instructions will help to mitigate this issue. Applying 1-2 drops should cause the oil to absorb nicely without leaving a residue on the skin. This oil is for all skin types, but be sure to test the oil on the wrist before applying elsewhere.

The process of cold-pressing is used to initially extract the oil from the seeds, and the refinement process helps to remove impurities, improve color and texture, and stabilizes overall shelf life. Cold-pressed Sunflower Oil has many great attributes even without refinement.

My son’s dermatologist recommended sun flower oil on his skin because he had severe atopic dermatitis. The oil contains linoleic acid which protects the skin barrier. It has been working wonders for his skin so far. The oil hasn’t stained his pajamas or bed sheets so that’s great also.

I'm very satisfied with this product

I'm very satisfied with this product. I use it for my personal use on my face and neck and love it! It doesn't clog my pores and it is a great anti-aging product. I recommend it to my patients with skin disorders like psoriasis or eczema and they find it very beneficial. For those cases they normally feel the benefit after daily use for over 3-4 weeks of use. I have use other brands but Maple Holistics is the one I use and recommend. I now want to try some other products from his company like other oils and the Tea tree oil shampoo and conditioner. :)

Recently I purchased some of your sunflower oil & was pleasantly rewarded by an all-purpose product

Recently I purchased some of your sunflower oil & was pleasantly rewarded by an all-purpose product. Having colored my hair for decades, I'm always on the lookout for moisturizing products. I use the sunflower oil as a balm for my hair, especially on the ends, leaving it on for 5-10 minutes prior to washing. It helps keep my hair soft and shiny. I also use the oil as balm for my lips; it leaves them soft and smooth as well. A very worthwhile purchase and soon to be a staple in my cupboards. Thank you!
