Purple Shampoo is purple- or violet-colored shampoo that distributes colored pigments in the hair strand, in order to neutralize the appearance of brassy, warm, orange-ish tones.

Purple Shampoo is specially formulated for natural/dyed hair in order to remove brassy tones and return hair to a cooler color tone. Brass tones occur in colored hair after a while and appear as warm, yellow tones which are generally unwanted. Using Purple Shampoo keeps lightened and colored hair cleansed, fresh and cool-toned.

Purple Shampoo should be used once or twice a week, or less, as needed. It is not meant to replace a daily shampoo, and is used in order to manage and maintain blonde or silver/gray hair. Some even use Purple Shampoo on dry hair, before they enter the shower. Should be used sparingly so as not to darken the hair.
